The achievement of Aspiration 1 of Agenda 2063 for “A prosperous Africa based on inclusive growth and sustainable development” requires that Africa makes significant investments in education with the aim of developing human and social capital through an education and skills revolution emphasizing innovation, science and technology.
The UN SDG Action Awards, a signature programme of the African Union SDG Action Campaign, champions initiatives and committed institutions who are wielding the power of creativity and innovation to bring us closer to a more sustainable, equitable and peaceful world.
Some categories for the awards were SDGs Teaching/Learning Award, Energy Media Personality of the Year, SDGs Communication Award, SDGs Research Award, SDGs Energy Curriculum Award, SDGs Automobile Company of the year, among others.
Each year, a selected 24 Higher Education Institutions from across Africa will be awarded and honored the bilateral SDG Award from the Federation of African Universities (FAU) and the African Union (AU).
Outer space is of critical importance to the development of Africa in all fields however each institution should rightfully pay $270 USD as admission and registration fee.
