The Federation of African Universities (FAU) is welcoming Tanzania chapter of universities joined her as companion affiliate while the FETU federation will more interesting on improving quality of education by strength capacity and skilled of candidates as well as improving research through networking.
Although Tanzania has made progress in access and equity in education, there are few corresponding advances in educational quality, particularly in the early grades. Reading skills remain a challenge among Tanzanian students—only 5.4% of students in the early grades read with comprehension. Secondary education in Tanzania follows the Cambridge model of ordinary and advanced levels, both of which require 2 years of study followed by an examination.
Tanzania actual two countries which Tanganyika and Zanzibar that united since 1964. Tanzania has the same education system same from O-level, A- level, collage and the university. Although each part’s has own ministry of education officer. Not only that but also, there is TCU body (Tanzania Commission for university).
TCU body is Tanzania ministry of under education which control issue of college and university and loan body of Tanzania. Zanzibar through ministry of education the system of education from nursery to form 2 is not total the same as Tanzania mainland .
The World Bank has allocated US$425 million to support the expansion of higher education in Tanzania. The country has seen a decrease in enrolments in recent years but the annual demand for university education is expected to rise to more than half a million students by 2030.
FAU is a network and continental confederation founded in January 25, 2022, dedicated to promoting education understanding and awareness of the African environmental education services and its intercultural mediation through the honest and accurate cooperation and integration of local, regional, continental and international knowledge and development issues. It acted as the head of national, regional scholars’ forums or university organizations of 54 countries in the African environment.
