As a previous attendee of our events in the region and member of the Federation of African Universities (FAU) we are pleased to invite you to join us in-person for our inaugural THE Pan-Africa Universities Summit 2024 held on 17-18 April in Pretoria, South Africa.

Hosted in partnership with Stellenbosch University and the University of Pretoria, the summit will assess the type of funding and governance that universities in the region need to succeed, and how to prioritise missions that are authentic to the ambitions of African faculty members with regard to institutional autonomy, innovation, equity and diversity, and achieving further impact.

Key themes we will explore;

    * Increasing funding and improving governance in African higher

education

    * Safeguarding academic autonomy

    * Revitalising African research

    * Showcasing success stories in African higher education across

continental and global contexts

    * Prioritising access, equity and inclusion across African higher

Education

FAU members last forum was June, 2023 as its theme was the Sub-Saharan Africa Universities Forum and hosted by Ashesi University at Ghana.

Join us to explore the three key pillars that form the culture of research in the region: sustainability within higher education, investment in equitable research, and employability.
