The Ministry of National Education, Teaching and Research, in consultation with the Commissariats in charge of Education in the Autonomous Islands, and in collaboration with technical and financial partners and civil society organizations, has initiated a vast process of reflection and action with a view to making the education sector a path of socio-economic development for the emergence of the Comoros in 2030.
National Education aims to make its share of contribution in the collective efforts to be made to improve the living conditions of the population and improve their means of existence. We are driven by a collective impetus for social transformation, which reflects a political will to democratize knowledge, particularly vis-à-vis young people, expresses an ethical bias to promote human intelligence, and affirms a technical choice that guarantees of efficiency.
Such an approach involves a lot of exchanges and sharing and requires that all the actors concerned, because of their responsibilities and their civic, technical or political interests, have all the information that should allow them to follow the evolution of the sector and , consequently, to bring their stone to the construction of this common work of construction of the nation, around the objectives of his Excellency the President of the Union of the Comoros.
We have thus taken the initiative to set up and develop the site of the Ministry of National Education, a tool that allows: –
to present the organization and operation of the different structures, at all levels, of the education system , as well as the results to which they lead;
– to highlight the strategies, as well as the various resources – both technical, material and financial – deployed both by the State and by its partners, internal and external, for the benefit of this system;
– to create and maintain a dynamic of dialogue and action between the different actors of the education system.
It is with this in mind that, both actors who have a formal responsibility or commitment within the education system and any other person, regardless of their interest in the latter, each and everyone – including Comorians from the Diaspora – will have the opportunity and the leisure to recharge their batteries, to refer to it and, better still, to express their questions, even their points of view.
The challenges are obviously enormous and will not be easy to overcome. This is why we have set up a site management team, accompanied by an editorial committee, which we hope will be up to the challenges.
But, right now, I would like to:
– Invite all those who are, directly or indirectly, concerned with the organization, operation and development of the site of the Ministry of National Education – technical managers and politicians, technical and financial partners and civil society, citizens and other players in the education system – to take ownership of it and get involved in it;
– Thank all those who deployed for the establishment of the site, for their contribution;
– Express my gratitude to the team of young local consultants, who designed this tool in accordance with the request made to it, and up to the challenges that depend on it;
– Express my sincere congratulations to the Management Unit of the PRePEEC (Project to Strengthen the Steering and Supervision of Education in the Comoros), for the tenacity with which it led this project to its conclusion .
