In spite of, the Federation of African Universities (FAU) is a continental non-governmental and not for profit confederation set-up by universities in Africa to promote cooperation among themselves and with the international academic community. It thrilled to announce the second year group honored an honorable SDGs Best Practice University Award Certificate!
African universities SDGs hub project is supported by the African Union in which is doing the cosignaturing proceses for the awarding cerrtifications. The SDG Action Awards recognize outstanding and innovative achievements to engage higher education institutions and promote action on the Sustainable Development Goals and the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) ensures social cohesion, economic prosperity and protection of the environment.
Dr. Stanley Ihedigbo, FAU Executive Director, said that, despite the 40% increase in the number of African countries on the list, African universities represent only 6% of the overall rankings from 1,115 ranked institutions.
