{"id":1424,"date":"2025-09-27T13:06:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-27T13:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whedafrica.org\/?p=1424"},"modified":"2025-09-29T13:09:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T13:09:13","slug":"iuiu-receives-delegates-from-the-international-forum-for-islamic-humanitarian-law-oic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whedafrica.org\/index.php\/2025\/09\/27\/iuiu-receives-delegates-from-the-international-forum-for-islamic-humanitarian-law-oic\/","title":{"rendered":"IUIU Receives Delegates from the International Forum for Islamic Humanitarian Law, OIC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A delegation from the International Forum for Islamic Humanitarian Law, led by Professor Fawzi Oussedik, President of the Forum for Islamic International Humanitarian Law (OIC), and Dr. Zahra Adnan, paid a visit to the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) to strengthen ties and explore new areas of collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The delegation, which has supported IUIU on several occasions, expressed its admiration for the university\u2019s growth and its contribution not only to Uganda but to the wider Muslim Ummah. \u201cThis university is not only of value to Uganda, but to the entire Islamic community,\u201d Professor Oussedik noted, praising the institution\u2019s progress, including the development of new faculties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iuiu.ac.ug\/assets\/media\/images\/iuiu-receives-delegates-from-the-international-forum-for-islamic-humanitarian-law-oic_1758978509.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Zahra Adnan, the executive secretary of the International Forum for Islamic Humanitarian Law at the OIC, highlighted the team\u2019s commitment to nurturing students who combine strong Islamic values with academic excellence. \u201cWe are here to support, learn, and teach. We aim to help develop future leaders with Islamic manners and successful academic information to lead this country,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Faculty of Law, discussions centered on promoting moot court competitions, scholarships, and training in International Humanitarian Law, with a focus on both Arabic and French-speaking contexts.
