The conference, organized by the&nbsp;National Council for Higher Education (NCHE), focused on&nbsp;<em>&#8220;Challenges, Best Practices, and Strategies for Artificial Intelligence Integration in Higher Education in Uganda.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IUIU was represented by&nbsp;Four&nbsp;staff members&nbsp;led by&nbsp;Dr. Jamil Serwanga&nbsp;(Vice Rector, Academic Affairs), Dr. Kamonges Wahab&nbsp;(Lecturer, Faculty of Education), Mr. Solimo Rajab&nbsp;(Lecturer, Faculty of Science, Computer Science) and Mr. Chekwoti Aramadhan&nbsp;(Lecturer, Faculty of Science, Computer Science).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They presented a research paper titled:&nbsp;<em>&#8220;Artificial Intelligence Adaptation in Higher Education:&nbsp;Supervisor\u2019s&nbsp;Ease or Difficulty in Detecting AI-Generated Content in Postgraduate Research.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/em>The study addressed critical challenges in academic integrity amid AI tools like ChatGPT, offering insights for policymakers and educators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event&nbsp;was&nbsp;officiated&nbsp;by&nbsp;Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni, First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports of Uganda.&nbsp;Keynote speaker&nbsp;Prof. Azra Naseem&nbsp;(Aga Khan University)&nbsp;delivered an address on&nbsp;<em>&#8220;AI in Higher Education: Policies, Regulations, and Adoption Strategies for Sustainable Transformation.&#8221;<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU)&nbsp;participated in the&nbsp;6th Annual Higher Education Conference, held from&nbsp;March 24\u201325, 2025, at&nbsp;Hotel Triangle, Mbarara City.
